INJECTED

INJECTED is a fast-paced top-down shooter set inside the human body. Take control of a heroic white blood cell as it fights off viral infections, infected cells, and bacteria that threaten the lymph node - the last line of defense of the immune system.

Story

A deadly infection has invaded the bloodstream. As the immune system's elite defender, you must protect the lymph node from being overwhelmed by waves of viral and bacterial threats. Use your split-cell abilities strategically to dodge attacks and unleash powerful granule weapons.

Gameplay

INJECTED combines twin-stick shooter mechanics with unique body-splitting gameplay:

• Move with the left thumbstick
• Aim & Shoot with the right thumbstick
• Split into two cells by pressing X - dodge enemies and attack from two angles
• Merge back together by pressing B when close to your partner cell

When split, each cell can be controlled independently, allowing for creative combat maneuvers. Your goal is to survive endless waves of enemies and protect the lymph node from infection.

Note: INJECTED currently requires a gamepad to play and is available on Linux.

Enemies

• Viruses - Fast blue particles that swarm aggressively
• Infected Cells - Brown corrupted cells that attack the lymph node
• Bacteria - Red dangerous organisms with high health
• Supporter Cells - Purple cells that heal enemy spawners - stop them before they reinforce!

Unique Mechanics

Split & Merge System: Unlike typical shooters, you can split your cell in two at any time. This adds a strategic layer - split to dodge through bullet hell patterns or to flank enemies, then merge back for concentrated firepower.

Dynamic Combat: Use your split abilities creatively:

• Split to dodge enemy attacks
• Attack enemies from two directions at once
• Merge to restore your full size and damage output
• Create distraction tactics with your partner cell

Swallow & Digest: Some enemies can absorb your granules. If they swallow too many, they'll explode in a burst of particles - use this to your advantage!

Objective

Protect the Lymph Node at all costs! This immune system headquarters has limited health. If too many enemies breach its defenses, the infection wins and the body falls. Watch the minimap to track enemy spawners and incoming threats. Prioritize targets - take down Supporter Cells before they heal enemy spawners!

How to Play

1. Launch the game
2. Press OYNA (PLAY) on the main menu
3. Use your gamepad to move and shoot
